I grew up in the metro Detroit area in a large exciting family with six children. In middle school I spent an intensely meaningful and life changing day at Children’s Hospital of Michigan with my younger brother. While my brother was peacefully recovering from his surgery, I was drawn to a child across the hall who was receiving physical therapy services after being severely burned. That was the day that I decided I would become a physical therapist and work with children who needed my help.
I graduated from high school and went on to Oakland University to receive my Masters in physical therapy. Following graduation, I started my pediatric physical therapy career right back at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. I have also provided care at Beaumont’s pediatric outpatient rehabilitation center and in the homes of children. In addition to HomeTherapyForKids.com, I also provide therapy services through a local school system.
While I am not working outside the home, I have been blessed with my own five wonderful and very busy children. They keep me on my toes with their energy and enthusiasm for everything.
